Clover Hill

An Assembly of God Church

Friends of the Homeless

Clover Hill has partnered with Richmond’s Friends of the Homeless program for the last couple of years to feed the homeless in Richmond. Our team serves about 100 meals downtown in the Jackson Ward area. This ministry was formed in 1987 to strengthen and enrich the community life of the underpriveledged and homeless in Richmond, Virginia.

Every Third Friday
Clover Hill’s Friends of the Homeless Team leaves from our church facility on the day of serving at 10:15am. Currently we do this every third Friday of the month. Recipes for Casseroles are available.

How You Can Get Involved
• Mark your calendar for the 3rd Friday of every month and cover our team in prayer from 11am-1pm.
• Volunteer to cook – a recipe is available for Shepard’s Pie that you can prepare ahead and freeze, or bring to the church the day of the meal. We need 12 casseroles per month.
• Volunteer to serve – we need a minimum of 4 volunteers every month to do the final preparation and serving of the food. Come help refill drinks, greet people as they arrive, or help distribute special gifts
• Donate, Donate, Donate – Much of this program is funded by the church. Any monetary donations toward this outreach is greatly appreciated.
• Administration – There are open positions in the area of communications and administration. Please volunteer if God has gifted you in these areas.
